# Your subscription

> How your monthly plan is charged, what direct debit means, and how to cancel.

The **Creator** and **Creator Pro** plans are recurring: you choose whether to
pay **monthly** or **yearly**. While your subscription is current, you keep the
reduced commission and every feature in your plan.

## What you're charged

The plan price is shown in dollars and charged in bolívares, at the BCV rate of
the day of the charge, with **16% VAT** included.

Example for the monthly Creator plan:

| Item                 | Amount      |
| -------------------- | ----------- |
| Creator subscription | \$9.99      |
| VAT (16%)            | \$1.60      |
| **Monthly total**    | **\$11.59** |

## Two ways to pay your plan

    Your bank authorizes the charge and the subscription **renews on its own**
    every month.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Manual payment" icon="hand-pointer">
    You pay each cycle yourself, with another bank or method. **It does not
    renew on its own.**
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

## Direct debit account

Setting up **direct debit** means authorizing your bank to let Guaybo charge
your plan automatically at every renewal, with nothing for you to do.

Direct debit **is activated by the bank you choose at payment time**. On the
payment screen, after selecting **Pay in bolívares**, you see the available
banks:

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Banks with direct debit" icon="building-columns">
    **Bancamiga**, **Banco de Venezuela**, **Banco Nacional de Crédito (BNC)**,
    **Bancrecer**, and **Banesco**.

    Picking one of these sets up direct debit on your account, and the
    subscription renews on its own.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Other bank" icon="hand-pointer">
    If you pick **Other bank**, the payment is one-off: **there is no direct
    debit** and you have to pay manually each cycle.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

<Note>
  We're working on adding more banks with direct debit. If yours isn't on the
  list yet, it may be soon.
</Note>

<Check>
  **Why it's worth it.** With direct debit your subscription renews on its own:
  your account never gets downgraded because you forgot, and you keep selling
  without interruptions. It's the safest way to keep your business active.

### How to set up direct debit

<Steps>
  <Step title="Pick one of the direct debit banks">
    On the payment screen select **Pay in bolívares** and choose Bancamiga,
    Banco de Venezuela, BNC, Bancrecer, or Banesco. That choice is what turns
    direct debit on.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Fill in your details">
    The account holder's ID number and the phone number linked to that account.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Authorize from your online banking">
    Guaybo sends the direct debit request to your bank. Log in to your online
    banking and **approve it** there. If you're not sure how, the same screen has
    the **"I don't know how to link my bank"** guide with the steps for each
    bank.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Affiliation check">
    A charge of **VEF 1.00** is attempted to validate the affiliation. That
    amount **is returned to you** once it's confirmed.
  </Step>
</Steps>

### If there are no funds at renewal time

When your paid period ends, Guaybo automatically tries to charge the
subscription for the **next period**. If there aren't enough funds in your
account at that moment, the charge doesn't go through and Guaybo **retries it
twice a day**.

<Warning>
  If by the **fourth day** the renewal charge still can't go through, your
  account moves to the **Standard (free) plan**.
</Warning>

## Manual payment

If you pick **Other bank**, or pay with a different method, **your account is
not set up for direct debit**: the subscription doesn't renew on its own and you have to
pay it each cycle.

You have **4 days** from the due date to pay before your account drops to the
Standard plan. During that time we notify you:

| When                       | Notice                                         |
| -------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------- |
| 2 days before the due date | Reminder that your plan is about to expire |
| On the due date | Your plan expired, you need to renew it |
| 2 days after | Last notice before the downgrade |
| 4 days after | Your account moves to the Standard (free) plan |

<Tip>
  If you'd rather not keep track of this, set up direct debit: renewal becomes
  automatic.
</Tip>

## What happens if you drop to the Standard plan

**You lose nothing you already built.** Your products, courses, and content stay
where they are, and your buyers keep their access.

What changes is that, under the Standard plan limits, **you can't create new
resources or upload more content** until you move back to a higher plan.

## Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel whenever you want, under **Settings → Plan → Cancel
subscription**.

When you cancel, your account moves to the Standard (free) plan and the same
rule above applies: your content stays, but you can't create new resources or
upload more content.
