# Commissions and payouts

> What Guaybo charges on each sale and how you get your money.

Guaybo charges a commission on every sale you close. Here's how it's calculated,
who pays it, and how the money reaches you.

## How the commission works

Every successful sale carries a two-part commission:

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Variable part" icon="percent">
    A percentage of the product price: **9.9%** on Standard, **7.9%** on Creator
    and Creator Pro.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Fixed part" icon="coins">
    **\$0.50 USD** per transaction, regardless of the sale amount.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

Example for a **\$20 USD** product on the Creator plan:

| Item                               | Amount     |
| ---------------------------------- | ---------- |
| Variable commission (7.9% of \$20) | \$1.58     |
| Fixed fee                          | \$0.50     |
| **Total commission**               | **\$2.08** |

<Tip>
  **You decide who pays the commission.** You can pass it on to the buyer (added
  to the final price they see) or absorb it yourself (deducted from your
  earnings).
</Tip>

<Info>
  **Guaybo does not hold your money and does not work as a wallet.** We keep no
  balances in your name: the money from each sale goes straight to your bank
  account, or the buyer pays you directly. The only thing that moves between you
  and Guaybo is the platform commission.
</Info>

## Charging in bolívares

Bolívar payments work **automatically**:

<Steps>
  <Step title="The buyer pays">
    With **immediate debit** or **mobile payment** with automatic validation.

    <Info>
      **Immediate debit:** the buyer's bank sends them an **8-digit** code by SMS
      or through its banking app. That code authorizes the purchase without the
      buyer ever leaving your sales page.

      **Mobile payment:** the buyer opens their banking app, sends the payment to
      the details shown, and then reports it with their mobile payment details
      and the transaction reference number.
    </Info>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Guaybo deducts the commission">
    The commission for your plan is applied.
  </Step>

  <Step title="The money reaches your account">
    The transfer to your bank account happens automatically.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  **Payout hours.** The Venezuelan banking network has intermittent service
  between **11:00 pm and 4:00 am**. The money from sales you receive in that
  window lands in your account **after 8:00 am** the next day. Outside those
  hours the transfer is automatic.
</Note>

### Bank fees

These fees are **charged by the banks and the payment network, not by Guaybo**.
They are deducted from your earnings, on top of the platform commission:

| Item            | Fee  |
| --------------- | ---- |
| Immediate debit | 2%   |
| Mobile payment  | 1.5% |
| Bank transfer   | 0.3% |

### Requirements to charge in bolívares

<Steps>
  <Step title="Verify your identity">
    KYC verification with a photo of your ID document and facial recognition.
    You must be 18 or older.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add your tax information">
    Required to issue your invoices.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set up your mobile payment">
    Under **Account → Payment methods**, with the details where you want to
    receive the money.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Charging in dollars and other currencies

With foreign-currency payments the buyer pays you **directly** and you confirm
the transaction in Guaybo. The platform commission becomes a balance you owe
Guaybo, and you can see it in the **Payments** section of your account.

You can settle that balance **daily** or **let it accumulate and pay at the end
of the week**.

<Warning>
  The deadline to pay is **3 days after the end of the month**. Past that, the
  account goes into **delinquent** status and sales are blocked across all your
  products.
</Warning>

## Invoices

The **Invoices** module holds the history of every invoice Guaybo issues you for
the commissions you pay on each sale.

A single invoice can group the commissions of several sales made over a period
of days, and includes the breakdown of:

* Subtotal and taxable base
* **16% VAT**
* Total, in dollars and in bolívares at the BCV rate

Clicking the **view detail** icon shows exactly which sales are associated with
that invoice, under the **Associated payments** section.

<Warning>
  These are the invoices **Guaybo issues to you** for the platform service.
  Guaybo does not issue invoices on behalf of creators to their customers: that
  responsibility belongs to each creator, according to the laws of their
  country.
</Warning>

## Commissions are non-refundable

Commissions are **not reversible**.

If you agree to a refund with a buyer, that refund is handled directly between
you two: Guaybo does not take part in those agreements and does not return the
commission already charged.

## Taxes and invoicing

Each creator is responsible for handling the taxes that apply to their income,
according to the laws of their country.

The invoices in the **Invoices** module cover only the commissions you pay
Guaybo for using the platform: they **do not replace or cover your tax
obligations as a seller**.
